improved the shopping experience with Computer Vision

Every year, Oxxo organizes the "Store of the Future" event, where it showcases the most notable advances in retail technology. As part of this project, iNBest.cloud was invited to collaborate, and the development team set out to create something truly innovative that could be applied to the store of the future.

Problem

With the goal of improving the shopping experience, iNBest.cloud leveraged its expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to develop a revolutionary product. The idea was to use Computer Vision to identify customers' gender, age, mood, and facial features, such as glasses, beard, and mustache, in real time. With this information, personalized product suggestions could be made for each customer.

Our Solution

The iNBest.cloud team developed a solution that would change the way payments are made in physical stores. Using computer vision and AI tools like Amazon Rekognition, they were able to quickly and accurately identify and analyze customer data. This data could be used by the cashier to offer product suggestions that match the detected characteristics, which in turn could increase the purchase receipt.

The solution's functionality allows this data to be private and accessible only to the cashier, if the company so desires, respecting customer privacy.

Factors determinants

The suggested products are fully customizable and can be configured according to the customer's preferences. The tool can be populated with a catalog authorized by the customer, including their own brand, agreements with other companies, exclusive behind-the-counter products, or even low-volume products. Artificial intelligence suggests products based on computer vision analysis.

The iNBest.cloud solution is powered by Amazon Web Services, such as Amazon Lex, Amazon Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, and AWS API Gateway, ensuring speed and the ability to display data in real time, within microseconds, for both the user and the client.

With this innovative computer vision-based solution, stores can offer a more personalized shopping experience and improve customer engagement, maximizing sales opportunities and meeting each customer's individual needs.
