Every year, Oxxo presents collaborators, suppliers and guests in an event called "Store of the Future" where it presents the most outstanding advances for retail stores; focused on exhibition, cash register, shelves, advertising, inventory and more.
Being part of a previous project, iNBest was invited to be part of this event; the development team took the task of creating a novelty for the company that could be applied to the store of the future.
Because of our expertise in A.I tools, we came up with the idea of a product that will change check outs at any physical store. Through computer vision it is possible to identify sex, age, mood and facial features such as glasses, beard, mustache; once these data is obtained, it makes suggestions of fully customized products according to detected characteristics.
This data is not to be seen by the consumer if the company does not want it, as implied by this function; leaving this information for the cashier only, with the purpose of increasing the purchase ticket.
The suggested products are fully customizable. The tool is fed with a catalog authorized by the customer, whether it has its own brand, agreements with companies or products behind the counter, check out or even those that have low turnover. Artificial intelligence will make suggestions based on the diagnosis made with computer vision.
Our product runs entirely in AWS made with AWS tools such as Amazon Rekognition, which provides the exact speed for data to be displayed in microseconds, or in real time for user and client.
