The challenge

The Polytechnic University of Tulancingo (UPT) is a prestigious public university in Mexico, recognized for its academic excellence, social commitment, and cultural promotion. It offers a wide range of academic programs in areas such as engineering, technological development, and economic-administrative sciences.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the education sector, as in-person attendance became impossible and adapting to online education was necessary. UPT faced challenges related to accessibility and availability of their systems, experiencing application interruptions and connectivity problems due to power outages and fiber optic cuts.

The solution

In collaboration with iNBest, UPT found the ideal solution to address these challenges: Microsoft's Azure cloud. With the technology and tools provided by Azure, the university was able to begin its path toward technological innovation in cloud computing.

The migration to Azure enabled greater efficiency in accessibility to the university's fundamental applications and systems, while ensuring availability and mitigating problems caused by unexpected interruptions.
