The challenge

CKLASS, a leading company in Mexico's fashion industry with over 25 years of experience, specializes in catalog sales of clothing, footwear, and bags. With an extensive network of affiliates in the United States and Central America, their main objective is to provide the best service to their clients.

However, CKLASS faced significant challenges in the information technology area. Their central information system, SAP ECC, had integration deficiencies and connectivity problems with points of sale throughout the country. These limitations affected the service level to their affiliates, as well as internal information availability, which delayed decision-making and merchandise flow.

The solution

To address these challenges, CKLASS decided to migrate their servers and operations to AWS cloud, in collaboration with iNBest as technology consultant.

Decentralized architecture: They moved from a centralized scheme to a decentralized architecture in AWS, thus eliminating the risk associated with a single point of failure.

Centralized firewall administration: Through the on-demand FortiManage service, they achieved centralized administration of the firewall architecture, simplifying and organizing the hundreds of firewalls distributed across points of sale.

Infrastructure rightsizing: They optimized the infrastructure supporting SAP services, improving system performance, speed, and maintenance.

Test and application environments: They implemented mechanisms to run new applications and test environments in AWS cloud, fostering innovation and development agility.

Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP): They established a contingency plan to ensure business continuity in adverse situations.
